Introduction to the AR-15 Rifle – 4 Hours $125

(Maximum 6 Participants)

Designed for new or “rusty” AR-15 shooters, this class will cover safety, nomenclature, cycle of operation, rifle takedown, and the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship. Once on the range, participants will sight in their rifle while attaining their “battle-sight zero.” Participants will then practice shooting positions, rifle presentation with and without sling, and engaging targets at various distances. Optical sights are optional if participants bring their own AR-15.

Course Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid FOID card.
  • You must provide your personal AR-15 and two 30-round magazines.
  • Student must bring 100 rounds of OnTarget approved ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection will be provided.
  • Wear proper shooting attire (crew neck shirt and closed toe, high traction shoes) for range portion of class
  • Bring two-point rifle sling (optional)
  • Bring a great attitude!

Intro to Shotguns – 3 Hours $150

(Maximum 6 Participants)

A shotgun is the most versatile firearm platform you can own. Assorted configurations, interchangeable barrels, and multiple ammo choices make it a firearm you shouldn’t be without. Learn what to look for and how to avoid falling for the myths surrounding shotguns. Discover how adding this one simple firearm to your collection will open a world of shooting sport options, from hunting to home defense – the shotgun can do it all!

Class Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid FOID card
  • Ammunition will be provided by OnTarget but you are encouraged to bring your own shotgun.
  • Wear proper shooting attire (crew neck shirt and closed toe, high traction shoes) for range portion of class
  • Bring a great learning attitude!

Intermediate Carbine – 3 Hours $100

(Maximum 6 Participants)

Designed for the intermediate AR-15 or AK-47 shooter, this class incorporates an overview of the course of fire prior to zeroing your carbine from the table and performing both group and individual down range tactical drills. The Intermediate Carbine is designed for the shooter looking to progress into the Skills and Drills and ultimately the Operator’s Course, which incorporates both carbine and handgun. Intermediate shooters will get their first down range shooting experience to include different shooting positions as well as the basic movement to contact drills and multiple target engagements. This course is a requirement before advancing to the more complex Skills and Drills and Operator’s Course.

Course Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid FOID card
  • You must provide your personal AR-15 or AK-47 and (6) 30 round magazines
  • Bring 250 rounds of On Target approved ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection will be provided, shooters may also choose to bring their own
  • Wear proper shooting attire (crew neck shirt and closed toe, high traction shoes) for range portion of class
  • Bring rifle sling – two point is preferred
  • Bring a motivated attitude!
